TDOR Speech 2023, 2 Copies

Tag I wrote this speech for Trans Day of Remembrance in 2023. I lost my first trans friend the year before in 2022, to the Singaporean military, the icon of a state's apparatus of violence. And like many others, I was deeply in shock at the passings of Brianna Ghey and Eden Knight that year. However, my emphasis was on hope, helping each other, doing those who have departed proud, and love. I believed, and still do, that trans resilience and power can be practiced daily by just existing authentically.

Tag The original 'backline' banner of 'TRANSISTERRR'. Hand made by Lexi & Jess, it followed the girls as they grew in fame and notorioty, gaining Osie as the band drummer. Now the banner can be retired as a new one is to be made.
