The following information is for the event proceeding outdoors as planned.

Please don't attend if you feel unwell in any ways you generally don't. We will have masks available if you would like one.

The main event will take place on Jesus Green if the weather is good. The park is criss-crossed by flat paths, navigable by wheelchair and mobility scooter. Even if the weather is wet, Jesus Green does not tend to get too muddy. We will set up close to the what3words location dozen.bleak.fence (52.21234, 0.12491). This is on the section of Jesus Green with the skate park.

There are a few benches on Jesus Green; we will provide as much seating as we can at the event itself. If you have portable seating, please bring it along if you can!

We will unfortunately not have a BSL interpreter at the event. If you rely on lip reading (HOH/d/Deaf/auditory processing difficulties) please inform the facilitator of any workshops you take part in who can arrange for you to be where you can best lip-read, or speak to a steward if you would prefer. Speakers would be glad to wear any personal/portable hearing loop or mic transmitter you bring with you.​​​​​​​

We may be able to provide sighted guiding from Drummer Street Bus station or other nearby locations. Please contact us via Instagram or email (transliberationcambridge@protonmail.com) with details of your approximate arrival time, if you would like to book a sighted guide, and we will do our best to arrange one.

We will be packing up the outdoor part of the event at 5pm, long before the sun sets.

We ask that smokers position themselves downwind of the group. This is to improve access for people with asthma, allergies and sensory sensitivities. We will attempt to provide signage for a smoking area.

As the event will be outdoors we will not be designating a particular quiet space; it will be easy to come and go from the event.

• There are gendered public toilets and an accessible public toilet on Jesus Green. The toilets are open until 8pm and are free to use. The accessible toilet requires a Radar key; we will have a key to lend. There are baby-changing facilities.
• The nearest Changing Places toilets are at Drummer Street, 0.6 miles away, and ShopMobility in the Grand Arcade car park, 0.7 miles away. Both are open for the duration of the event.
• The Lockon is 0.4 miles from the location. There are gender-neutral toilets there. One toilet is semi-accessible: see the Lockon accessibility statement: https://bit.ly/LockonAccessibility.

We'll have a supply of hand sanitiser or soap and toilet roll.

Bring your own picnic! If you'd like to bring food to share, make sure it's clearly labelled with ingredients. Please do bring your own water bottle to the event; we will have water to refill it from. There is also a water fountain at the Jesus Green public toilets, though it works intermittently.

You're welcome to bring children, as long as you keep them under close supervision at all times.

Nearby bus stops include Round Church Street 0.3 miles away (served by A the Busway), Bridge Street 0.4 miles away (served by the 5, 6, 8, X3, 905 and PR1), and Carlyle Road 0.4 miles away (served by the 4 and Cambridge Tour Bus).

We will have first aiders at all times during the event. Stewards will be able to help with minor welfare issues (e.g. water refills, overwhelmed, needing directions to the toilet, lending a Radar key). We will have de-escalators on hand throughout the event in case of minor issues involving harassment or aggression.​​​​​​

The pub is a third of a mile from the picnic spot and we will move there via pavements if the weather turns during the afternoon.

There is a step-free entrance to the pub via the courtyard, with signage to this at the front entrance to the building.

There is no accessible toilet in the pub, but you will be able to use the accessible toilet at Student Castle next door. It is situated around 30 metres from the main bar entrance. Please speak to a member of staff to use it.

The pub welcomes customers who may need to bring food, drink, medicine or medical equipment with them the manage a medical condition.

You can get snacks, meals, soft drinks and alcoholic drinks from the bar.

The pub does not have its own car park, the nearest being pay and display spaces on Milton Road to the east, or opposite on Chesterton Road.

The nearest bus stops are: Chesterton Road, opposite the pub outside Hing Hung restaurant, served by Citi 4; and on Milton Road, near Westbrook centre, Citi 1, 9, X9 and The Busway.

Please don't attend if you feel unwell in any ways you generally don't. Unfortunately we will not have exclusive use of the space so cannot mandate masking; there is covered outdoor seating though.

We will ask people to mask in the venue (overflow) space if numbers are low enough in the pub that we have exclusive use of that space, but will not know until the day.
