Sleeveless t-shirt with 'Genitals =/= gender" print
I wore this shirt to give a talk I wrote with the same title: 'Genitals do not equal gender.' I wrote that piece an impassioned ally, or so I thought. Whilst practising the talk with my husbandm he paused me and asked: 'is this your coming-out speech?'. I recall feeling a jolt of muddled emotions, relief, shame, joy - 'Yeah' I said, 'I think it is!' That's how I came out to my husband as trans. [handdrawn cartoon heart with the letter "H" inside]

Shop
At the Museum of Transology, we don’t sell our community’s stories for personal profit. All merch is usually sold either at cost price or for pay-what-you-can donations (like our Never Again t-shirts and our Transcestry catalogues at the last exhibition).
In our online shop, we raise funds for volunteer expenses, collections care and photography, travel for our Community Curators, artist fees, polaroid film and digital hosting costs. We try and do that with integrity, so we pay artists from the community to use real objects from the collection to inspire their ideas.
The stickers and t-shirts on sale now have been designed by Alice Bigsby-Bye from the queer crafty folklore witches of @hagstoneart fame, Norwich. If one of the objects they chose was yours, please Let Us Know your address and we will gift you a whatever-it-is in the post.
