And now I have a family of my own. I know that is a privilege. But I was in my mid 30s before I found people who I could see as my future, people I could look like as I get old. Successful people. I remember first seeing The Drakes, wide eyed, fast beating heart. I felt home. I felt like I belonged. I am finally the in-between I have always been.
