Tag: I wrote an illustrated this children's book about a trans Grandpa for my final major project on my art foundation at Oxford Brookes in 2014. I reasearched so many "ftm" people wanting it to be accurate and representative. I didn't make the viewpoint character trans as "I wasn't trans"…. good one. Looking back, all of that research was for me. I wanted to represent older trans people who we often don't see. But I also wanted to know I had a future. I told the first person ever that I might be a boy in the last week of the course.
