Tag: 29 bank notes for "52 fears of Transgender" exhibition. 29 bank notes from around the world, each stuck on to A5 or A4 white paper. Each backnote has been coloured with the head and shoulders figure coloured with make up or further colour. All by the artist The Phantomat. In the artist"s words: "I acquired a random collection of paper money. I corrected the obviously male dominated picture. Being drag, transgender or genderqueer is an everyday reality of my friends and me. Although this work has some awkward moments, I did not mean to produce comedy. If the image of a queer president is funny for some people, it’s because they can’t accept the idea. We don’t know if the president of North Korea wears lipstick, secretly."
